Practice

I decided to start this blog for two reasons. First, I thought that it might be good to start a blog for our youth group page on our church website, but I wanted to make certain it would be something I was capable of doing and willing to keep up with. The second, and more important, reason is to get back into my hobby of writing. I've been out of practice and recent happenings in my life have made me decide to get back to it. As Flannery O'Connor once said "I write because I don't know what I think until I read what I say." For me, there is no statement more true than that. Sometimes I might write about the adventures Tim and I have (we do have a great many of these after all), or I might write about my personal feelings or thoughts, but I think mostly I'll just write about nonsense. Why nonsense? Because it is quite fun! Who wants to live a sensible and boring life when you can live a life of utter nonsense and have fun with it? Or maybe I will keep my nonsense to myself for a while longer. We shall see, I suppose.
